Gratefulness

Have you ever thought Why me? This is wrong? I want this! I need that! I’ve found myself saying that a lot lately. My phone barley works, I need a job, one of my siblings broke my laptop screen, I missed this opportunity, need this and that, the list can go on and on BUT instead of focusing on what could be problems I should be grateful for other things. Grateful for God calling my name one more time to live another day. Grateful for the roof over my head. clothes on my back, and food I have to eat. Grateful for God’s grace. Grateful that I am not in the same position as others. Grateful I am not where I was. We should all be grateful for these things. (CURRENTLY HAVING NO TECHNOLOGY ISSUES BUT THIS STILL STANDS).

A lot of us focus on the negative instead of loving what we have. That is something the enemy does because he often tries to get inside. Pray that off and tell the devil he is a liar!

John 8:44 – For you are the children of your father the devil, and you love to do the evil things he does. He was a murderer from the beginning. He has always hated the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, it is consistent with his character; for he is a liar and the father of lies. (New Living Translation).

Be grateful for your life. Be grateful for your gifts. Be grateful for your family. Be grateful for your friends. Be grateful for God’s everlasting grace and mercy. Let us not just say what we are thankful for on Thanksgiving because all of our favorite foods are involved ( 🙂 ), but let us Thank God and everyone who provides for us every day. This may be a new way of thinking for some, it’s not hard. Try it out!


Imagine Me

Everyone has their insecure moments, but we always have to remember we are FEARFULLY and WONDERFULLY Created. We are made perfect in the image of God.

Psalm 139:14 – I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful. I know that full well (New International Version)

Insecurities do not just come in the form of physical inadequacies, but also in feelings that you are not good enough or cannot do something. All of these come from society, others around you, and the ideas of what someone should look/be like. Let’s not live by the rules of this world. Shouldn’t what God says be what you believe? God says you are beautiful. God says you can do anything with Him by your side. Don’t listen to what others have to say about you or your ambitions.

Genesis 1:27 – So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female (New International Version).

Philippians 4:13 – I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me (New King James Version).

In relation to image, do not hate what God has given you. God made you tall or short or skinny or black or white or Asian or dark or light with short hair or long hair with freckles or moles or any other physical attributes for a reason. You may be made to relate to a certain set of people because of your image (From a Heather Lindsey video, not her exact words.) Your testimony may come from what you look(ed) like, which can help others in the same situation.

Testimonies:

Though I thought I knew the plans God had for me He said no, I’m the creator. I would need prayers of righteous people who wouldn’t stop praying over me. The devil would not use my mind, body, or soul as his playground as he imagined. Meeting other college students in a campus ministry is when I knew God was up to something. I was wondering how I was going to grow in this new environment with more temptation and expectations. The new season He was preparing me for could only be endured by connecting with other believers. – Racquel

“I grew up with bad acne. It was tough because people picked in me relentlessly. I even cried about it when I was alone. I wish I would have understood 1 Samuel 16:7. God’s approval is all we need!” – La’Fred

1 Samuel 16:7 – But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not look at his appearance or at his physical stature, because I have refused him. For the Lord does not see as man sees; for a man looks at the outward appearance but the Lord looks at the heart” (New King James Version).

If you are contemplating your next steps or have those around you who bring your confidence down by saying you cannot do something and are always being negative this testimony will help.

His wisdom will help you make decisions that are best for your future. We are instructed to find delight in the Lord and He will give us the desires of our hearts. What are your desires? What are your dreams and aspirations? Are they similar to God’s for your life in the building of the kingdom? We must be sure our desires don’t take priority over our relationships with God. 

Proverbs 3:26 – For the Lord shall be thy confidence , and shall keep thy foot from being taken (King James Version).

Songs of Solomon 4:7 – You are altogether beautiful my love, there is no flaw in you (English Standard Version).

Do not be conformed to the thoughts people in this world have about you. You are beautiful/handsome! Your image is perfect because God made you! Don’t feel inadequate, You can do anything! You can be anything you want! Don’t be insecure, You are worthy! 

More Than A Conqueror: Devotional

  • Hope. What is hope? Do you get upset when the things you hope for do not come to pass? I won’t lie I do all of the time, but that may be because I am used to getting whatever I want when I want it lol. The daily scripture on the Bible app a few days ago really hit me and stuck with me. It is Psalm 42:11 ” My spirit, why are you so sad? Why are you upset deep down inside me? Put your hope in God . Once again I will have reason to praise him. He is my Savior and my God.” To me that said God gives hope. It says when I am feeling down all I have to do is ask Him to fill m spirit with hope. It says when I don’t get something I hope for He will fill me with more hope instead of frustration. How do you interpret the scripture?   • Don’t panic! Every little thing will be alright. DO NOT WORRY. Seriously it only gives you wrinkles and makes you mean to others lol. God’s got you. 
    Matthew 6:25-34 – Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is life more than food, and the body more than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you—you of little faith? So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own (NIV).

  • Let me tell you guys, I was so discouraged when I got on to write a post and my views had only gone up by three. I said well maybe this is useless because no one is reading and I am wasting my time.That discouragement was straight from the adversary himself , but remember when God wants something to happen it will happen. His plan will always prevail, he has so much more power than the devil does. When you are doing what God wants you to do don’t get discouraged, and if you do when you can get right back on your feet and continue. Stay encouraged in all that you do!  1 Peter 5:8 – Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour (NIV).

  • Proverbs 3:3-6 – Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart. Then you will win favor and a good name in the sight of God and man. TRUST IN THE LORD WITH ALL YOUR HEART AND LEAN NOT ON YOUR OWN UNDERSTANDING; IN ALL YOUR WAYS ACKNOWLEDGE HIM AND HE WILL MAKE YOUR PATHS STRAIGHT (NIV).
  • Repentance is how our sins and shortcomings are forgiven. Repenting means apologizing to God for something and turning away from it. Even if you know what you are repenting of is not something you can easily overcome do not worry, letting God know that you want it gone is the beginning of your deliverance process. We should repent daily.
  • Acts 3:19 – Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing may come from the presence of The Lord (KJV).
    Proverbs 28:13 – He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh shall have mercy (KJV).
    Matthew 4:17 – From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.

    Last Friday my mom brought me 6 bracelets that said “Jesus loves me” from work. I gave two out at a church service Saturday morning and some to my coworkers Saturday night during an outing. Now I only have one left for myself and I was thinking I wish I would have kept them so I would have more, BUT that would not be right. I was thinking about how I only had one left instead of thinking about the impact those bracelets may have on the wrists of others. Someone may be granted a peace in a tricky situation by looking down and seeing that our Father loves them. Others may ask, “How do you know Jesus loves you?” if they see someone with one of the bracelets on. Do you know what that can start? The point is we must share the good news of Jesus. We cannot keep that awesome message we heard in church or bible study to ourselves. We cannot contain our testimonies. We cannot keep how Jesus loves us to ourselves. We have to share these things because in this way we can spread Jesus like a wildfire. We do not know the affects of sharing even though we may want to be selfish and keep these things to ourselves.
    Mark 13:10 – For the Good News must first be preached to all nations (NLT).
    Matthew 5: 14&15 -You are the light of the world – like a hilltop that cannot be hidden. No one lights a lamp and puts them under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to ever one in its house (NLT).
    John 12:32 – And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me (KJV).

    God has a purpose for each and every one of us. Having a purpose is not just a major thing we will do in life, but it could be letting God use you today. You may be placed in someone’s path today who you are helping tremendously without even knowing. In relation to major purposes, pray to God that He reveals yours to you. Ask Him to order your steps through His Holy Spirit. I know a purpose for me is one day opening a community center. A purpose can be a dream you’ve always wanted to accomplished because God placed it on your heart. If you are not where you think you should be DON’T WORRY, you being set up for your purpose.
    Jeremiah 29:11- “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares The LORD “plans to prosper and not harm you, plans to give you hope and a future (NIV). (This scripture is used a lot because it applies to so much!)
    Romans 9:17 – For the Scripture says to Pharaoh: “I have raised you up for this very purpose, that I may display my power in you and that my name might be proclaimed in all the earth (NIV).”

    Some have had some traumatic things happen in life. Some have been hurt and broken so many times. So many have been feeling lost and in bondage. Whatever pain you are holding on to give it over to God. He will supply you with a heavenly peace. Also, forgive those who have hurt you, it will make you feel so much better ! (Read Romans 12 for more on this.)
    John 8:36 – If the son gives you freedom, you are free! (Contemporary English Version).
    Philippians 4:7 – And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (English Standard Version).

  • Romans 12:2 – Do not conform any longer to the patterns of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind (NIV). It is so important that we renew our minds on a regular basis. We have to have a “Spiritual Resurrection (Word from my Pastor).” When we learn to lean on God and not be conformed to what others in this world do. Yes, we might miss certain things like going to parties four days a week at times (be real lol.) We might miss doing some of the things we used to do with our friends and you may lose friends along the way, BUT having your mind renewed is an amazing experience. Try it out. Ask God to renew your mind. 

 

  • Many of us say, “Lord I know my overflow of blessings is coming. God I know you are about to give me my breakthrough. God I need this now.” Those things are okay to say to God but are we doing our part. In order to receive your blessing you cannot be selfish. You should still be blessing others. You should still give an offering at church (or want to if you don’t have anything to give). You should still offer words of encouragement. You should offer your time. Even if it’s not much. Even if you don’t have anything to give, if you have the desire and your heart that is good enough. Not to say give everything you have away, but to say do not be selfish with everything you have and expect more. We cannot want God to do things for us if we cannot do anything for our brothers and sisters on this earth. 

Luke 6:38 – Give and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over, will be poured into your lap (NIV).


  • Have you ever had someone be so mean to you with or without a reason? Well don’t let it get to you. At my current job my managers talk to me in a very disrespectful manner, and yes sometimes I let it get to me and match their attitude, but it’s not my job to deal with them because God will in His own way and time. Never let anyone bring you to their level; instead fight their evil with the love of Jesus. Be an example to them. Show them how to rise above.
    Matthew 5:43&4- “You have heard what was said, ‘Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you..”(NIV).
    Romans 12:14&16-21 – Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse. Live in harmony with one another. Do not be proud, but be willing to associate with people of low position. Do not be conceited. Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Be careful to do what it right in the eyes of everyone. If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone. Do not take revenge, my dear friends, but leave room for God’s wrath, for it is written: “It is mine to avenge; I will repay,” says The Lord. On the contrary: “If your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty give him something to drink. In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head.” Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good (NIV).

    No matter what you’re going through don’t give up. Keep hope in the good times and the bad because God will never fail you. He already has it all worked out in your favor. Whatever the situation in just trust in Him!
    Psalm 37:25 (David speaking) – I was young and now I am old, yet I have never seen the righteous forsaken or their children begging bread (NIV).
    Proverbs 3:5&6- Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and he shall direct thy paths (King James Version).

    – I have the strength to face all conditions by the power Christ gives me (Good News Translation).

    Do you know the power the words that come out of your mouth have? You can make or break someone’s day (or your own.) Are you down? Encourage yourself! Is someone around you down? Encourage them! Be a blessing with what you say. Tell someone to keep striving toward the goal. Let someone know not to give up because their breakthrough is on the way. Let someone know they are loved. Tell someone they are beautiful/ handsome. We never know what people are going through/hiding behind a fake smile therefore we need to continue to encourage others.
    Proverbs 18:21 – The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit (NIV).

A Little Bit of Faith

You may see this box and say “oh that’s cute” or “oook why is she posting pictures of boxes?”


Well the importance isn’t in the box itself, but what it represents. This $2 item from the dollar store means so much because it shows the faith I had when it was easiest to give up. As many of you may know I missed out on a whole year of school because of a mistake made by my last university that stuck me with a bill of almost $2000. They would not clear my bill because of their mistake or release my transcripts so I could transfer; it seemed like a never ending battle that I would not win because they did not care. But God cared, that is something I’d forget. This summer I was at the dollar store with my sister and I saw this box. As we were getting items for her dorm, I picked it up and said this is going in mine. It seemed like I was going to miss another year but I bought this box in faith that I would be back in school. Finally I had a breakthrough! Someone from my old college contacted me to help and I finally got my transcripts released. The journey since then has not been easy but God made big moves off of my little token of faith. I also fasted and prayed during that time.

Matthew 17:20 (NLT) – “You don’t have enough faith,” Jesus told them. “I tell you the truth, if you had faith even as small as a mustard seed, you could say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it would move. Nothing would be impossible.”

Matthew 17:21 (Only in some translations NKJV) – “However,  this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting.”

Nobody’s Perfect

I won’t lie, I rewrote this introduction like four times because I want what I’m trying to say to come out in a perfect sentence. As I’m writing this I had a very duh Gabby lightbulb moment. God made an example out of me for what I wanted to talk about. I thought it’s not going to be perfect, just write. That’s  what we have to do in life; know that it won’t always be perfect but to keep pushing.

I’m very relaxed at the moment, hair braided up like looking like Little Bow Wow 😂 with pajamas on, and some worship music playing in the background. I say this to remove those perceptions of myself being and looking perfect and that’s what this whole post is about! No one is perfect!! The person who hurt you IS NOT PERFECT; forgive them and try to understand their position (that doesn’t mean you have to be their best friend or even talk to them, it just means you’ll have a burden taken off of your soul. That’s one less scar on your heart and will help you heal.) 2 Corinthians 2:10 – When you forgive this man, I forgive him too. And when I forgive whatever needs to be forgiven, I do so with Christ’s authority for your benefit (New Living Translation.) Your favorite minister, preacher, or Christian blogger ( thank you 😎) IS NOT PERFECT. Sometimes we begin to idolize people we look up to which is not healthy. You want to be them, do what they’re doing, go where they’re going but that’s probably not God’s plan for you. Psalms 106:36 – They worshiped their idols, which led to their downfall (New Living Translation.) It is okay to admire someone, it is not okay when admiration becomes obsession and you can’t distinguish yourself from them. You don’t have to agree with everything someone says or everything they do. I can be watching a sermon or something of that sort and be like “no no no you’re wrong ” because while I do respect that person for who they are in Christ and what they do sometimes I just don’t agree. I do not cling to their every word like white on rice, but take away only what I felt connected to. Your friends with the flawless Instagram photos, who are always having fun in their Snapchat story, and sharing new experiences on Facebook ARE NOT PERFECT. Romans 8:28 – For we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them (New Living Translation.) If it hasn’t already your time will come for new experiences, you will be the person having all of the fun, you’ll find a look that you really love. Proclaim it! Also remember some people post on social media or even act very happy in person to cover up what is really going on. (You never know what someone is going through. Sometimes I say Lord I pray for everyone I came in contact with today; I pray that they be blessed, content, healed…)

I have been trying to stay off of Instagram today while I figured I had to time I needed to spend with God instead of worrying about what everyone else is doing. I got that distinct Holy Spirit instruction (for once lol) to get on. ( You’ll know when The Holy Spirit is instructing you. If not pray for it and the discernment to know the difference along with fasting if you feel led.) I had already planned on writing about this topic and saw this photo someone from my old church had posted. I thought this is perfect! This is true for everyone. So today I encourage you to understand the human in everyone.

                                   

The Book of Job: Life’s Ultimate Tests

This morning I woke up and got the urge to read chapters 1 and 2 of the Book of Job. (I’ve actually had the urge for two days, oops. But timing is also everything; it was important that it was done today.) As I opened my Bible app I thought I should read the whole book. I already knew the enemy told God that Job would turn away from Him if he was tested, but Job didn’t in the first two chapters. I thought, “well there must be a bigger lesson that needs to be learned if there are more chapters in this book. Now, if yall don’t know the Book of Job is 42 chapters and the individual chapters are very long. I know my limits, so I decided to turn on the read-out-loud feature. Somehow I opened my eyes and I was in Psalms lol. I went back to 30 and finished Job. Here is a summary of the occurrences: the enemy asked God for permission to test Job so he could prove that Job would turn from God. Job lost everything (his livestock, children, and possessions.) He did not blame God, instead he was still thankful and faithful. As the book went on Job began to complain and groan over and over and over again. He said God would not talk to him and he is punishing him for no reason. He lost his faith. Job complained to his friends daily; he was annoying them as they tried to tell him the truth about his situation. Job put the full blame on God instead of taking responsibility for the actions of him and his children. A young man named Elihu stepped up to talk some sense into Job. He was afraid at first because he is young and thought no one would respect him. Next God went IN on Job (I was literally laughing in my head because He got Job all the way together.) Job was dumbfounded. Job 42:2&3- “I know that you can do all things;  no purpose of yours can be thwarted. 3 You asked, ‘Who is this that obscures my plans without knowledge?’ Surely I spoke of things I did not understand, things too wonderful for me to know (NIV)”. Job learned his lesson, restored his faith, and ended up being blessed with everything he had before plus more!
After listening to the book I got on YouTube to watch a sermon since I missed church. I watched a Heather Lindsey video that caught my eye and said some things I really needed to hear. My favorite sermons to watch online are Joel Osteen’s. I started three different videos, but I knew I was not supposed to watch those ones in this moment. On the suggested videos bar I saw one entitled Don’t Let the Pain Hurt. I got that Holy Spirit feeling of “that’s the one.” Here are my notes from the sermon:

  • There is a purpose for the pain.
  • A woman felt extreme pains for a while and no one could figure out what was causing them. When she was rushed to the hospital the doctor said, “I know exactly what the problem is. 90 minutes later she delivered a baby. She didn’t know why she had the pain, but there was  great purpose that produced new fruit and opportunities (the baby.) Just like the woman we can be pregnant with pain, but what we birth will so amazing.
  • How the pain changes you is up to you (because it will change you in some way.)
  • The enemy may turn on the fire, but God has control of the thermostat.
  • Every Struggle is making you stronger.
  • We were not created to float on the flowery beds of life with no troubles.
  • If God allowed it, He knows how to bring good out of it.
  • You can come out bitter, or can come out better.
  • “I’m mot a whiner, I’m a warrior.”
  • Don’t waste you pain! Turn it into something great.
  • Joel’s mother was diagnosed with terminal cancer with a few weeks to live. Instead of feeling down and out, she went out and encouraged others. She turned her pain into encouragement and she is still alive today!
  • A couple in the church found out their son had autism. Instead of being defeated they started the “Champions Club” for children with special needs in their church. The Champions Club has now spread to many churches.
  • A mother found out that her daughter was killed while she was walking to church. She took her pain and created Mother’s Against Drunk Driving. (I was amazed when I heard this one because I wrote about this organization for school before.)
  • Don’t put a question mark where God put a period!

I was just thinking about my situation while I was watching this. I realized once again everything happens for a reason. I had to be uncomfortable and go through a little bit of pain in order to write these posts this weekend. I am going through things, but others are as well. I am taking my pain and turning it into encouragement for you all. I also logged out all of my social media apps on my phone because I find myself checking them too many times throughout the day. I could have used social media and Netflix binged all weekend as a distraction, but that would equate to me running away from my problems. I needed to go to God and pour out my troubles to Him. I also needed to read the word; the bible always has a solution to your problems. The last step in this process is applying what I have learned. I encourage you all to do the same whenever you run into a sticky situation. I feel so much better. ( Yall, I was going through it at the conception of this post lol. Heartbreak 101)

2 Corinthians 4: 3-7 3 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, 4 who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God. 5 For just as we share abundantly in the sufferings of Christ, so also our comfort abounds through Christ. 6 If we are distressed, it is for your comfort and salvation; if we are comforted, it is for your comfort, which produces in you patient endurance of the same sufferings we suffer. 7 And our hope for you is firm, because we know that just as you share in our sufferings,so also you share in our comfort.

I could have been down but…

Yall God works in some mysterious ways. Today I was getting all kinds of conformations!
First, let me start off by explaining why I chose this specific title. Yesterday I got a notification from my school saying they “suspended my card” which means I cannot use my meal plan or swipe into any facility (because I still have a small amount of my tuition I need to pay). I must admit, I did begin to panic but God reminded me of a verse I have read many times. That verse is Philippians 13: 11 & 12.
I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances.  I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. (NIV)

He told me not to worry. I knew I had food in my room, money in my bank account, and I could get buzzed into my dorm. Inconvenience? Yes. Setback? No. I learned to be content with or without things. My friend unexpectedly brought over some cash she borrowed and I woke up with even more money in my account. I felt like that was God saying, “see, I will take care of you and give you more than what you need in any situation. Trust me, and you will see the overflow.” I am so glad I didn’t get worked up because trust me I really almost did. That email was the first thing I saw when I woke up which made me think I was going to have a bad day.

It’s all in the mindset. Even if things are not going the way we want them to go we need to think positively. We also have to remember the people in way worse situations and see we don’t have much to complain about compared to our blessings.

That Gut Feeling

Today in class my professor talked about why we make certain decisions. One point of reason was intuition/ a gut feeling; he referred to it as luck. I refer to this “luck” is The Holy  Spirit working in your conscience.


Luke 12:12- for the Holy Spirit will teach you at that time what you should say (New International Version.) 

Romans 8:14- For all who are led by The Spirit of God, are children of God (New Living Translation.)


I started eating some of those delicious orange slice candies which gave me a horrible feeling. My body has been rejecting a lot of things I need to cut down on (I might be able to handle all of these junk foods if I exercised sometime in the past few weeks, but right now the bad is entering with no way out/ an equal amount of “good” foods.)

My body was like stop eating this candy before you get a bad stomachache. This can be compared to God telling us what we should and should not do. There will ALWAYS be a sign and a way out. 


1 Corinthians 10:13- No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it (New King James Version.) 


If you don’t take advantage of this initial way out, God will provide another one and another one. You may not see the results of your bad decision immediately, but they will come. Sometimes we only find our way out through a difficult result. 


To end, trust your gut (The Holy Spirit.) You will be led in the right direction and find a way out of any situation

Have Joy

“So I concluded there is nothing better than to be happy and enjoy ourselves as long as we can.” Ecclesiastes 3:12 NLT

This one sentence is so important in life. We must be not only be happy, but also have joy in good times and bad. We must enjoy ourselves and do things for ourselves. We must take care of ourselves. We must celebrate ourselves sometimes. Just be happy, there is nothing better than always having your joy. 

Recently a lot of great things have been happening for me and I only see more coming in the near future. Though the road to these successes have/may not be easy I’ve realized being happy and looking forward to better always helps. I get even happier when I see the fruits of my labor. 

The whole chapter, which all blessed me is below.

“For everything there is a season,

a time for every activity under heaven.
A time to be born and a time to die.
A time to plant and a time to harvest. 

A time to kill and a time to heal.
A time to tear down and a time to build up.
A time to cry and a time to laugh.
A time to grieve and a time to dance.
A time to scatter stones and a time to gather stones.
A time to embrace and a time to turn away.
A time to search and a time to quit searching.
A time to keep and a time to throw away.
A time to tear and a time to mend.
A time to be quiet and a time to speak.
A time to love and a time to hate.
A time for war and a time for peace.

What do people really get for all their hard work? 

I have seen the burden God has placed on us all. 

Yet God has made everything beautiful for its own time. He has planted eternity in the human heart, but even so, people cannot see the whole scope of God’s work from beginning to end. 

So I concluded there is nothing better than to be happy and enjoy ourselves as long as we can. 

And people should eat and drink and enjoy the fruits of their labor, for these are gifts from God.

And I know that whatever God does is final. Nothing can be added to it or taken from it. God’s purpose is that people should fear him. 

What is happening now has happened before, and what will happen in the future has happened before, because God makes the same things happen over and over again.

I also noticed that under the sun there is evil in the courtroom. Yes, even the courts of law are corrupt! 

I said to myself, “In due season God will judge everyone, both good and bad, for all their deeds.”
I also thought about the human condition—how God proves to people that they are like animals. 

For people and animals share the same fate—both breathe[a] and both must die. So people have no real advantage over the animals. How meaningless!

Both go to the same place—they came from dust and they return to dust.

For who can prove that the human spirit goes up and the spirit of animals goes down into the earth?

So I saw that there is nothing better for people than to be happy in their work. That is our lot in life. And no one can bring us back to see what happens after we die.”
